2020 HCHS Special Events
Special Events for Summer 2020 are CANCELLED
The Houghton County Historical Society board has decided, with regret, to cancel our 2020 summer season. To maintain
the safety of patrons and staff from the uncertainty of the Coronavirus, we have decided to err on the side of caution, curtailing operations for the
foreseeable future. We will not be giving train rides or allowing visitors in the museum. If visitors wish to walk around the grounds they may do so.
This postponement is difficult to do, but is an important step in protecting our visitors, staff, and community.
Barring further restrictions due to the pandemic, the falling are anticipated dates for Fall and Winter activities:
Visiting your Michigan Tech student for Family Weekend? Stop by for a tour. Take in a train ride and visit the museum to experience
three floors full of Copper Country history. We'll be open from noon until 4, October 9th through the 11th.
Join Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Depot and then board the Santa Train for a ride around our historic site. Come out and make some holiday memories
for your family! Rides are $3 for adults and $1 for children. Light refreshments provided. Model Train room open too.
